Yesterday: Spent a solid evening, night and early morning attempting to install, re-install and just get something running for testing and results purposes. The installation likely needs to have everything scrubbed and PCL and dependencies re-built manually. Was able to get an old version of the executable to work and then ran a sampling of tests for simple timing results. While the whole lot of this should be re-done professionally (with theoretical improvements implemented, tested against real data sets, and analyzed for improvements, etc) its sufficient in the meanwhile.

Today: Graphs, figures, results written up. Paper scanned for proofing, and whole package of documents sent off to Mary in turn to be sent off to the examiners. Papers uploaded to dropbox for ease of access. (Tomorrow: get PCL successfully installed, and work on candidacy presentation). Roadblocks: N/A

Where Does this Fit In: The candidacy exam demonstrates my capacity to be an independent researcher and make meaningful contributions to the research community. This enables me to continue to my work in developing the animal3d project.
