Writings
My first instant messenger client was Yahoo, which I acquired in grade 12: when I finally bothered to check out the internet and its uses (we also acquired a half decent computer at that time, which was helpful in encouraging use of the internet).
I've since moved on to using ICQ and MSN (I've tried IRC, but just can't quite get the hang of it, nor do I presently have the desire to get the hang of it), however I've not forgotten that yahoo, in conjunction with geocities, offers free web hosting for small (15MB) sites. Now, I've never filled that 15MB (heck, I've hardly ever exceeded 0.0%), however for the last number of years, I've used it as an outlet for thoughts that I felt were foreign to the sort of person that I presented myself as, but still something I considered important enough to keep accessible.
In Fall 2004 I determined that I do not like the person that I've become: at least in the public. I am hopeful that the Winter 2005 term will see changes that are more positive to the person I loved in high school, and the person I hope to be as an adult. Regardless, I no longer feel as though I need to restrict my thoughts in a separate location, and instead prefer to present myself as all of myself, not just the illusion I've developed.
None of these writings have I generated over night. Instead the collection has evolved (slowly) for the last couple of years. Most of the dates enclosed (to add some perspective to the time frames) are correct, although I believe one or two to be significantly off.
If you dislike anything that I've written, I don't care. If you like anything that I've written, I don't care. If you'd rather not read the elements presented, then don't. I really don't care. This is for me.
If you feel appropriately warned, and still wish to read, the collection is located here.
